Every July, the Açoteia Rooftop Festival in Faro opens over 30 rooftops to visitors who will experience the city from a new perspective by celebrating the city's most iconic buildings. Açoteia is an Islamic word meaning a workspace and inspires connection of Faro's musical and cultural heritage.

The Festival da Sardinha in Portimão usually takes place in July and celebrates one of the Algarve's most popular delicacies - the humble sardine. Rooted in the fishing traditions of the region, this is a hugely popular event that offers an authentic taste of history.

A two-day festival, Noitada Portimão consists of concerts, lazer shows, silent disco, video mapping and more spread across the town in 15 different zones and 4 main stages. A proud celebration of the arts and theatre, of music and culture, with Portimão itself as the stage.
